As social workers, we can easily get caught up in the “crisis” of our clients, being overworked, and the lack of resources to do our job. Add taking care of the children, supporting significant others, and encouraging friends to the mix and you have a perfect recipe for stress, frustration, and a negative attitude. What you need is to add some positivity into your work-life…with music.

Here is a quick and easy playlist of some of my favorite upbeat songs that I listen to in the morning as I get ready to start my workday. I try to enjoy the beat and let the positive words motivate me to crush pessimism and promote positivity throughout my day.

“Golden” by Jill Scott

“This Girl is on Fire” by Alicia Keys

“Superwoman” by Alicia Keys

“Control” by Janet Jackson (an old-school throwback)

“Fight Song” by Rachel Platten

“Feeling Good” Nina Simone (Sassy)

Now, I want you to create your own positivity playlist. Make it a part of your morning routine to get your day off to a great start. It can help you have a positive mindset so that you can achieve your goals. Feel free to share songs that inspire you. Also, please take a minute to sign up for my free Five Hacks to Manage Stress and Prevent Burnout and Workplace Stress Checklist.

Enjoy the journey!
