The Christmas holiday season is a festive time of the year that is filled with activity, fun and laughter.  It is a time when family and friends gather to count their blessings, enjoy good food and express their faith. Overall, it’s a season of happiness and cheer.

But for many, the Christmas holiday season is filled with stress, sadness and and sense of isolation from others. Sometimes, the stress turns into short-term melancholy known as the “holiday blues.” While this usually improves once the new year gets underway, it’s tough when you are in the middle of it and do not know what to do.
